The word slavery can be interperted as many things. Being held against your will and being forced into manual labor is a form of slavery. One example of slavery is Human Trafficking.
Although its 2015, there is still slavery going on in developing countries. Below is a clip of a documentary showing the effects of human trafficking amongst young girls and women in India.
Ruchira Gupta
Ruchira Gupta has worked as a journalist for 23 years. She is a female activist fighting for the rights of women and young girls who are being human trafficked. She is the founder of Apne Aap. Due to Ruchira's work,she recently was presented with the Abolitionist award at the House of Lords in the Uk.
